Tartan and gin to mark 70th year

News image

To celebrate Mensa’s 70th anniversary in 2016, the society has launched two new special commemorative products.

The official Mensa tartan and a limited edition anniversary gin were both launched at the annual gathering in Glasgow.

The Mensa tartan is the perfect way to show your affiliation to the Mensa “clan”. It is a unique design and has been registered with the Scottish Register of Tartans so its use is exclusive to Mensa.

Woven in high quality fabric and featuring Mensa’s core colours of blue and yellow, the tartan can be made up in a vast array of products, from traditional kilts to cufflinks.

The fabric is woven in Scotland and each item is individually made by Scotweb. Alternatively, you could order a length of fabric to create your own bespoke item of clothing or keepsake.

Following on from the very popular limited edition whisky produced for Mensa’s 60th anniversary, the society has also commissioned a limited edition small batch of artisan gin.

The gin, called Spirit of Mensa, is 40% abv and is distilled and bottled in Scotland. It is available direct from WoodWinters in Stirling.
