Pupils are real bright sparks

Fifteen young bright sparks from the same school have proved themselves worthy of Mensa membership.

The Albany School, a business and enterprise academy in Hornchurch, Essex, entered 80 pupils into the Mensa supervised test - and no less than 15 proved to have an IQ in the top two per cent of the population.

Mensa offers discounted group testing to schools wishing to find out the IQ of their pupils. In conjunction with gifted child consultant Lyn Kendall, the society can also offer a range of classroom resources for teachers to help them help their most able students reach their full potential.

To arrange testing for school pupils over the age of 10 and a half, contact the testing department on 01902 772771
