Mensa at Cambridge

Trinity College

21 - 24 August 2014

The conference theme this year will be focusing on

MONEY, (LUCRE)

The love of money is the root of all evil!

We have great pleasure in announcing the 33rd International Mensa at Cambridge conference will take place in the hallowed grounds of Trinity College, probably the most prestigious and well known college in the UK if not the world.

Trinity College is set in the centre of Cambridge. It was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 as part of the University of Cambridge. Since then Trinity has flourished and grown, and is now a home to around 600 undergraduates, 300 graduates, and over 160 fellows. Princes, spies, poets and prime ministers have all studied there. Thousands of visitors flock through its famous great gate each year to take a first-hand view of this beautiful 400 year old venue.

The title for the 2014 conference will be – MONEY (Lucre). Nine top speakers from the financial world will be on hand to entertain, inform and educate us over the duration of the conference.

The setting....

Trinity College was founded by Henry VIII in 1546 as part of the University of Cambridge.

Since then Trinity has flourished and grown. Trinity exists to give its members a rewarding, richly resourced, and intellectually inspiring place in which to pursue their education and research. Princes, spies, poets and prime-ministers have all been taught here!

“Once we had the opportunity to discuss our conference with senior people at Trinity and then were invited to hold our annual event there, we jumped at the chance. The college is held in high regard throughout the world, we are hoping to make Trinity our home for many years to come.” Principal organiser, Gillian Kaile.
