Dr Yiannis Kitromilides

Dr Yiannis Kitromilides

Associate Member of the Cambridge Centre of Economic and Public Policy, Department of Land Economy, University of Cambridge. He has previously taught at the University of Greenwich, the University of Westminster, the University of Middlesex and the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.

The focus of his teaching and his main research interests have been and still are in the areas of the eurozone crisis, reform of banking, economics of climate change, the political economy of economic policymaking and recent developments in macroeconomic theory and policy.

He has published papers in journals, contributed to edited books and has contributed to on-line journals like Social Europe and Open Democracy.

His most recent publications include papers on the political economy of the austerity strategy, Greece and the eurozone crisis, Technocracy and public policy-making, political economy aspects of 'Brexit', and Modern Monetary Theory and its critics.
