Mensa at Cambridge

Trinity College, Cambridge

August 21-24, 2014

The annual intellectual conference organised by Mensa – the high IQ society at a prestigious Cambridge University will this year focus on the theme of Money – Lucre.

Delegates will travel from Europe and North America to attend British Mensa’s flagship conference at Trinity College. The conference, which is also open to non-members will be addressed by high ranking speakers from The Bank of England, The Royal Mint, The Competitions Commission and talks will include the Bradbury pound, cyber security, big innovations that seem to be followed by big crises and even from the Church covering faith and economy.

Now in its 35th year, Mensa at Cambridge really does push back the boundaries of free speech and encourages debate amongst its audience using Chatham House rules. Organisers Gillian Kaile, a retired civil servant and Jerry Monk, a retired hydrographic surveyor intend that the conference captures the whole essence of Mensa – a meeting of minds socially and professionally.

As well as the talks and workshops there will be plenty of time for discussion and debate and for socialising, including dinner each evening and use of a Mensa-only hospitality room.
