Mensa, the High IQ Society, is 67 today! The society was formed by Roland Berrill, a barrister, and Dr Lance Ware, a scientist and lawyer.

The story goes that in 1946 they met on a train journey in England and developed the idea of forming a society for bright people, the only qualification for membership of which was a high IQ. The Society has now grown to over 110,000 members around the world.
