A fire engine travels five miles to a fire at a speed of 50 mph. Its tank holds 500 gallons of water but has been leaking throughout the journey at a rate of 20 gallon per hour.

If the fire engine uses 496 gallons of water to put out the fire, how much water will it have remaining?

 

 

 

 

Answer: Two gallons.
