New research suggests puzzles could help prevent Alzheimer’s

Researchers from the University of California, Berkley have concluded that engaging in cognitively stimulating activities throughout life can lower the chances of developing Alzheimer’s disease. People undertaking mentally stimulating activities such as reading or doing a puzzle had less evident levels of a destructive protein found in those diagnosed with Alzheimer’s. This interesting discovery could play a part in future strategies for tackling Alzheimer’s.
