The Northwestern University, Illinois, USA, recently reviewed whether music training can prime your nervous system and potentially boost learning. They suggest that engagement with musical sounds can enable the ‘nervous system to provide the stable scaffolding of meaningful patterns’ so can be considered important to learning.
