Are Schools Failing the Gifted and Talented?

A recent article considered how the Government is shifting the onus for supporting our brightest pupils away from a national strategy and back on to schools.
The article by Hashi Syedain was published in Leadership Focus, the magazine for NAHT, the Association for all School Leaders, and featured an interview with Mensa’s Gifted Child Consultant, Lyn Allcock.
Lyn’s key message is that very gifted children have special needs, in particular their social and emotional development, for which they require support.
