Wall of Faces - Roberta Bampton

13-May-11

My name is Roberta Bampton and I am from Huddersfield.

I have been a member for between 25-30 years but can't remember exactly.

I took the test because I left school when I was 16 after doing O levels but always felt that I was capable of more. I was then inspired to do A levels at evening class, then a degree as a (very) mature student and finally a PhD.

I like Mensa because it is a group of friends who I would never have known if not for Mensa.

And finally Mensa is important to me because it has widened my social horizons and enabled me to meet some very special people
