My name is Helen Broadbent and I have been a member of Mensa since 1992

I took the test because I wanted to prove I could do it – I never thought for one moment that I would pass. 

I like Mensa because it is not pushy – you get involved as little or as much as you want. 

And finally, the members of Mensa I have met so far have not been in the least pretentious, overbearing or conceited but normal, ordinary people like myself who just happen to have a modicum of intelligence.
